The UK’s Supreme Court has ruled that “man”, “woman” and “sex” in the Equality Act 2010 refer to sex, not self-ID or paperwork (gender-recognition certificates). This agreed with our legal interpretation. We have published new guidance and are in the process of updating our publications to reflect the judgment. We are also working to provide answers to the questions we're hearing from supporters and the media. We will publish these as soon as possible.

Formed in January 2024: a group of human resources professionals in both private and public-sector organisations who hold sex-realist and gender-critical beliefs.

For anyone working in the range of disciplines across HR, in the public or private sector – who can also be members of other SEEN groups. Membership is confidential.

Believes it is important to uphold the Equality Act, as it is written and intended, in UK workplaces.

Aims to work with people in a broad range of disciplines in HR and hold its professional body to account for the guidance it gives.
